Merrin started running the Vesper Reach corridor when the direct routes into Kestrel got too dangerous for an unarmed free trader to risk. Now the Wayward Cairn's regular circuit has made Merrin one of the few people who understands just how many factions are quietly using Vesper Hollow as a back door.
