A cold, thin-aired rock that would draw no interest at all if it didn't sit at the far end of Vesper Reach. The Anchorage, its one settlement, has become the quiet back door every faction with a stake in the Kestrel II civil war now uses — a place to move people, supplies, and information around the fighting without anyone back home having to admit they're doing it.

Geography & Environment
- A wind-scoured basin ringed by low, cracked mountains gives the world its name — the Anchorage sits in the deepest part of the Hollow, sheltered from the worst of the surface winds
- Native life is limited to hardy lichen and microbial mats; nothing edible, nothing dangerous
- Vesper's Eye sits low and orange on the horizon even at midday, giving the whole settlement a permanent dusk-lit cast
Settlements
- The Anchorage — a patchwork of docking gantries, pressurized modules, and salvaged Mandate-hull sections grown organically over decades; equal parts customs post, black market, and refugee waypoint
Factions & Notable NPCs
- Kestrel Corporate Council — a discreet listening post and supply relay, run by Warden Petra Voss
- Ashvale Coalition — a single embedded infiltrator, Corporal Nyssa Thorne, watching Council traffic under cover
- Kestrel Free Traders Association — Captain Joss Merrin and the Wayward Cairn run the alternate corridor through here
- Red Veil Cartel — fences salvage and contraband through the Anchorage's underlevels via Enforcer Dashiell Corr
- Mandate Remnant Surveyors — Field Archivist Sela Brint passes through here en route to the array on Vesper's Shroud
Trade & Economy
- No local production to speak of; the Anchorage lives entirely on transit fees, salvage from The Driftfield, and quiet favors between factions who'd rather not be seen dealing with each other back in Kestrel
- Prices run high on anything that isn't scavenged — every finished good has to come in through the Reach
Points of Interest
- The Anchorage's underlevels, where Red Veil's fencing operation and half the settlement's real business happens out of sight of the docking gantries
- A row of sealed Mandate-hull sections built into the settlement's oldest quarter — nobody's fully catalogued what's inside them
